Abstract

Cyberattacks have emerged as significant threats that can severely impact the functional safety of different computational systems and domains, e.g. industrial automation and control systems, transport, critical infrastructures, etc. The consequences of successful attacks can be devastating, leading to financial losses, reputational damage, and, most importantly, safety compromise. This issue is challenging for different types of cyber-physical systems to understand the various risks they face and develop effective countermeasures considering protection peculiarities. The seminar is dedicated to the proposed methodological foundations and technologies of combining information security, cybersecurity, functional safety and physical safety for the purpose of assurance, as well as techniques and tools for critical cyber-physical systems of various applications at different levels (information, operational and environmental) towards ensuring the overall safety of cyber-physical systems.
