The International Open Access Week 2025, organised by SPARC in partnership with the Open Access Week Advisory Committee, will take place from 20th to 26th October. This year’s theme, “Who Owns Our Knowledge?”, invites us to reflect on ownership, access, and control in a world increasingly shaped by AI, data-driven discovery, and federated science.
To celebrate this global event, we invite you to join the OpenAIRE Knowledge Commons Café: Who Owns the Knowledge?, a two-part series of open conversations on trust, AI, and the future of open knowledge.

As discovery moves from repositories to chatbots, who controls the data that trains AI?
This interactive discussion explores how trusted, federated literature hubs can empower the research community to shape how scientific content is accessed, shared, and reused for AI training.Speakers:
